Karl has written and recorded his songs for over 39 years, specializing in genres of Folk, Americana, Country and Rock. Sky's material is a throwback to the music you loved in the early 70's. Making Music the way you remembered it.

He has worked with several publishers over the years, one of which was Scotty Turner who had and illustrious career as a producer for many well known country artists. Mr. Turner signed many of Karl’s songs to his publishing firm. Captain Kidd Music BMI

Karl now controls most of his own publishing through Blue Sky Songs BMI of which he is owner.

Drawing inspiration from singer - songwriter styles of the early 70's, Sky's music bears echoes of iconic artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, America and John Denver

His compositions transport listeners to a bygone era of singer/songwriter music and early rock while maintaining a contemporary relevance
